This is Claudia’s first album of healing music. It is a magical combination of Claudia’s voice with Tibetan Singing Bowls, Burmese Gong and Prayer Bell. The sounds are slow moving, taking the listener deep within, into a world of stillness and profound inner calm. In this space you will (if you allow yourself) find yourself open to healing and revitalising energies. It’s like having a massage with sound. Producing this album was a truly magical experience. When we assembled the takes, they fitted together so perfectly although nothing had in fact been planned. It was really like we knew just what to do. The voice and instruments merged; the words becoming pure sound and the sounds themselves becoming symbols. The words “Ani, Anahnu” chanted and spoken towards the end of the piece are in the Hebrew language. “Ani” means “I” and “anahnu” means “we”. They are at the same time both sound and symbol; in effect, the poetry of sound. The result can be described as truly beautiful. For more information on Claudia’s work with voice and sound see her website: www.anamsound.com People have been asking us about the image on the front cover. It is based on a piece of ancient jewellery, The Pliska Rosette, a seven fingered bronze medallion dating from around the 8th to 9th centuries, found at Pliska in Bulgaria in 1961.It is believed that the seven fingers stand for the seven traditional planets but it is not known which finger represents which planet. The writing is a type of runes in use among the ancient Bulgars and Thracians. ![]() |
